Photography - Through The Microscope

Microscopes are powerful scientific tools for investigating the structure of cells and tissues within living organisms. Light microscopes are capable of providing colored images of structures as small as bacteria. The black and white images obtained with the electron microscope yield additional detail about the internal contents or surfaces, often of even tinier structures. Early in my scientific career I realized that in addition to helping scientists understand plant and animal cells, microscopes also produce artistic images. This art may consist of a simple fascinating pattern, or patterns and colors combine to produce more complex intriguing images. Microscopes reveal Art in Life. I hope you enjoy the following examples.
